NGC 3157 (also IC 2555, ESO 435-51, MCG -5-24-26, IRAS10094-3123 and PGC 29691) is a magnitude +13.2 barred spiral galaxy located 130 million light-years away in the constellation Antlia.
The galaxy was discovered by English astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 28th January 1835.
