NGC 3262 (also ESO 263-42, MCG -7-22-17 and PGC 30876) is a magnitude +13.2 spiral galaxy located 132 million light-years away in the constellation Vela.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 2nd February 1835.
