NGC 3087 (also ESO 374-15, MCG -6-22-5, AM 0956-335 or PGC 28845) is a magnitude +10.8 elliptical galaxy located 38.526 million parsecs (126 million light-years) away in the constellation Antlia.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 2nd February 1835.
