In this study, a newly fallen meteorite named Al Zarnkh will be investigated.
Al Zarnkh Barah, Northern Kordofan, Sudan Fell 2001 February 8 Ordinary chondrite (LL5) A meteorite was seen to fall on February 8, 2001, by the villagers of Al Zarnkh, about 150 km west of Barah, in the western region of Sudan. A fusion-crusted mass of 700 g was then recovered by geologist Dr. Salah Bashir. Source (PDF)
