Title: The fall of the Skåne-Tranås meteorite Author: Gerhard Regnéll & Frans E. Wickman The fall of a meteorite in Skåne-Tranås, SE Scania, Sweden, took place on February 12, 1922 at 12.45 local time and was witnessed by many people. The circumstances of the fall are reviewed and a translation of an article in the local newspaper is given. Two pictures taken of the mill-pond in which the meteorite fell are also reproduced. Skane-Tranas. Skint, Sweden Fall 1922, February 12 Doubtful A meteorite fell on a frozen lake, making a hole in the ice 20 x 18cm but nothing was recovered, A. Corlin (1939). The evidence of meteoritic nature is not conclusive Source __________________

The Skane-Tranas (?) meteorite fell in Jonkopings, Sweden, on the 12th February, 1922. No material was recovered. 58°N, 15°E __________________
