NGC 2455 (also OCL 636 and ESO 560-SC15) is a magnitude +10.2 open cluster located 8643 light-years away in the constellation Puppis. The cluster contains ~50 stars within an angular size of 15.0'
The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 15th February 1836.
