NGC 4629 (also UGC 7869, MCG 0-32-37 and PGC 42692) is a magnitude +13.4 spiral galaxy located 51 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 19th February 1863.
