NGC 2530 (also IRAS 08050+1757, MCG 3-21-20, UGC 4237 and PGC 22827) is a magnitude +13.6 barred spiral galaxy located 231 million light-years away in the constellation Cancer.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 22nd February 1789.
