NGC 2873 (also MCG 2-24-9 and PGC 26742) is a magnitude +15.4 spiral galaxy located 149 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by R. J. Mitchell, assistant astronomer to William Parsons, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) f/8.8 speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 22nd February 1857.
