NGC 4599 (also MCG 0-32-34, UGC 7833 and PGC 42453) is a magnitude +12.7 lenticular galaxy located 84 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 22nd February 1786.
