NGC 4705 (also IRAS 12468-0455, MCG -1-33-16 and PGC 43350) is a magnitude 12.8 spiral galaxy located 198 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) Reflector on the 22nd February 1787.
