NGC 4720 (also IRAS 12481-0352, MCG -1-33-24 and PGC 43478) is a magnitude 13.3 lenticular galaxy located 69 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) Reflector on the 22nd February 1787.
