NGC 2575 (also UGC 4368, MCG 4-20-40, IRAS08198 2427 and PGC 23501) is a magnitude +12.8 spiral galaxy located 178 million light-years away in the constellation Cancer.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Jean-Marie Stephan using the Foucault 80 cm (31.5 inch) reflecting telescope at the Marseilles Observatory on the 23rd February 1878.
