NGC 4637 (also UGC 7881, MCG 2-32-188 and PGC 42744) is a magnitude +13.8 lenticular galaxy located between 57 to 63 light-years away in the constellation Virgo. The galaxy forms a galactic pair, with the brighter galaxy NGC 4638.
The galaxy was discovered by astronomer R. J. Mitchell, assistant to William Parsons, using with the 'Parsonstown Leviathan', a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 1st March 1854.
