NGC 4728 (also NGC 4728A, MCG 5-30-98 and PGC 43455) is a magnitude +14.6 elliptical galaxy located 296 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-refracor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 3rd March 1867.
