NGC 2864 (also MCG 1-24-20, IRAS09216 0609 and PGC 26644) is a magnitude +14.6 spiral galaxy located 468 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 6th March 1864.
