NGC 2352 (also ESO 492 - 005) is an asterism located 5708 ±264 light-years away in the constellation Canis Major.
The asterism was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the on the 6th March 1785.
