NGC 2657 (also UGC 4573, MCG 2-23-2, GWT 61.6, IRAS08425 0949 and PGC 24595) is a magnitude +13.2 spiral galaxy located 190 million light-years away in the constellation Cancer.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Jean-Marie Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 7th March 1885.
