NGC 2887 (also ESO 91-9 and PGC 26592) is a magnitude +11.7 lenticular galaxy located 134 million light-years away in the constellation Carina.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 8th March 1834.
