NGC 4524 (also MCG -2-32-14, IRAS 12312-1145 and PGC 41757) is a magnitude +13.7 spiral galaxy located 219 million light-years away in the constellation Corvus.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 9th March 1828.
