NGC 2694 (also MCG 9-15-56 and PGC 25143) is a magnitude +14.7 elliptical galaxy located 234 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. In the sky it is adjacent to the larger galaxy NGC 2693
The galaxy was discovered by English astronomer George Stoney using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) reflector at Birr castle on the 9th March 1850.
