NGC 2684 (also IRAS 08514+4921, MCG 8-16-35, UGC 4662 and PGC 25024) is a magnitude +13.1 spiral galaxy located 131 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. In the sky it can be found roughly 11' west of HD 76079.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 9th March 1788.
