NGC 2541 (also MCG 8-15-54, UGC 4284 and PGC 23110) is a magnitude +11.5 spiral galaxy located 25 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx. In the sky it can be found roughly 25' east of HD 67870.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 9th March 1788.
