NGC 5084 (also ESO 576-33, MCG -4-32-4 and PGC 46525) is a magnitude +10.5 lenticular galaxy located 79 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. In the sky it is close to the galaxies NGC 5087 and NGC 5068.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 10th March 1785.
