NGC 2823 (also MCG 6-21-8, UGC 4935 and PGC 26340) is a magnitude +14.6 spiral galaxy located 323 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx.
The galaxy was discovered by Anglo-Irish astronomer George Stoney using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr castle on the 13th March 1850.
