NGC 1554 (also known as Struve's Lost Nebula, LBN 817 or CED 32A) is a magnitude +11.9 reflection nebula near the star T Tauri located 460 light-years away in the constellation Taurus. Physically nearby is NGC 1555, a reflection nebula known as Hind's Nebula or Hind's Variable Nebula.
The nebula was discovered by Russian-German astronomer Otto Wilhelm von Struve using a 38.1 cm (15 inch) refractor at the Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory on the 14th March 1868. The nebula was confirmed by Heinrich d'Arrest using a 4.75" refractor in Leipzig on the 23rd March 1868
