NGC 3664 (also Arp 5, UGC 6419, IRAS 11218+0336, MCG 1-29-41, and PGC 35041) is a magnitude +12.6 barred spiral galaxy located 64 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. The galaxy is gravitationally interacting with the neighbouring galaxy NGC 3664A (PGC 35042): these two galaxies are listed as Arp 5 in the Atlas of peculiar galaxies by Halton Arp.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel using a 10 cm (4 inch) refractor at the Arcetri Observatory on the 16th March 1879.
