NGC 3609 (also MCG 5-27-43, UGC 6310 and PGC 34511) is a magnitude +13.3 face-on spiral galaxy located 371 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by Russian-American astronomer Otto Struve using a 38.1 cm (15 inch) refractor at the Pulkovo Observatory on the 18th March 1869.
