NGC 3762 (also MCG 10-17-27, UGC 6591 and PGC 35979) is a magnitude +12.6 edge-on barred spiral galaxy located 159 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 19th March 1790.
