NGC 5349 (also UGC 8803, MCG 6-31-5, IRAS 13510 +3807 and PGC 49336) is a magnitude +14.1 barred spiral galaxy located 264 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici.
The galaxy was discovered by astronomer R. J. Mitchell, assistant to Irish astronomer William Parsons using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr castle on the 24th March 1857.
