NGC 5241 (also IRAS 13340-0808, MCG -1-35-6 and PGC 48043) is a magnitude +12.9 spiral galaxy located 297 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 29th March 1886.
