NGC 4268 (also MCG 1-32-4, UGC 7371 and PGC 39712) is a magnitude +12.8 barred spiral galaxy galaxy located 109 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Eduard Schönfeld using a 15.24 cm (6 inch) refractor at the Mannheim Observatory on the 1st April 1862.
