NGC 2933 (also MCG 3-25-8, UGC 5132 and PGC 27436) is a magnitude +14.6 spiral galaxy located 199 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 1st April 1864.
