NGC 5530 (also IRAS 14152-4309, MCG -7-29-13 and PGC 51106) is a magnitude +11.3 barred spiral galaxy located 55 million light-years away in the constellation Lupus.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 7th April 1837.
