NGC 3879 (also IRAS 11441+6939, MCG 12-11-40, UGC 6752 and PGC 36743) is a magnitude +13.0 edge-on spiral galaxy located 66 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 7th April 1793.
