NGC 3517 (also NGC 3517-1, IRAS 11026+5647, MCG 10-16-55, UGC 6144 and PGC 33526) is a magnitude +13.0 spiral galaxy located 377 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 8th April 1793.
