NGC 3412 (also MCG 2-28-16, UGC 5952 and PGC 32508) is a magnitude +10.5 spiral galaxy located 38 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. 

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 8th April 1784.

Right Ascension 10h 50m 53.3s, Declination +13° 24' 46"
