NGC 5103 (also MCG 7-27-62, UGC 8388 and PGC 46552) is a magnitude +12.7 spiral galaxy located 59 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 9th April 1787.
