NGC 3543 (also MCG 10-16-75, UGC 6213 and PGC 33953) is a magnitude +14.2 edge-on spiral galaxy located 77 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 9th April 1793.
