NGC 3246 (also IRAS 10240+0407, MCG 1-27-9, UGC 5661 and PGC 32284) is a magnitude +12.6 spiral galaxy located 99 million light-years away in the constellation Sextans.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 9th April 1828.
