NGC 5906 is a magnitude +14.5 HII region of the edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 5907 located 31 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The HII region was discovered by Anglo-Irish astronomer George Johnstone Stoney using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 13th April 1850.
