NGC 5693 (also MCG 8-27-6, UGC 9406 and PC 52194) is a magnitude +13.5 face-on spiral galaxy located 105 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.
The galaxy was discovered by Anglo-Irish astronomer George Johnstone Stoney using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 13th April 1850.
