NGC 4587 (also MCG 1-32-123, UGC 7805 and PGC 42253) is a magnitude +13.5 lenticular galaxy located 41 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by Austrian astronomer Johann Palisa using a 30.48 cm (12 inch) refractor at the Austrian Naval Observatory in Pula on the 17th April 1882.
