NGC 4199 (also NGC 4199-1, MCG 10-18-11, UGC 7253 and PGC 39135) is a magnitude +14.3 spiral galaxy located 827 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 17th April 1789.
