NGC 4844 (also PGC 44464) is a magnitude +13.1 star located in the constellation Virgo.
The star was discovered by German astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/19 refractor at the Arcetri Observatory on the 19th April 1882.
