NGC 3421 (also IC 652, MCG -2-28-13 and PGC 32514) is a magnitude +13.7 barred spiral galaxy located 204 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by British amateur astronomer Andrew Ainslie Common using a 91.44 cm (36 inch) reflector at his Ealing observatory, near London on the 19th April 1880. The galaxy was rediscovered by Stephane Javelle in April 1892 and listed as IC 652
