NGC 5113 (also NGC 5109, IRAS 13189+5754, MCG 10-19-61, UGC 8393 and PGC 46589) is a magnitude 12.9 edge-on spiral galaxy located 98 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 24th April 1789. The galaxy was rediscovered by Herschel in March 1790 and relisted as NGC 5109.
