NGC 4721 (also MCG 5-30-97 and PGC 43437) is a magnitude +14.5 lenticular galaxy located 352 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 24th April 1865.
