NGC 4607 (also IRAS 12386+1209, MCG 2-32-176, UGC 7843 and PGC 42544) is a magnitude +12.8 edge-on spiral galaxy located 104 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by Irish astronomer R. J. Mitchell, assistant to William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 24th April 1854.
