NGC 5411 (also MCG 2-36-11, UGC 8940 and PGC 49967) is a magnitude +13.3 elliptical galaxy located 267 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/19 refractor at the Arcetri Observatory on the 25th April 1883.
